Freedom Fighter of the Year Award Goes to John Walsh

The Oregon branch of the  National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Laws (NORML) awarded longtime Survival Center volunteer and activist John Walsh with the 2009 Freedom Fighter of the Year Award.

John helped found the new UO chapter of Students for a Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) and has been gathering signatures for ballot measures since as long as I can remember. For more information about the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act or the new SSDP chapter you can ask John in person most days of the week at his table in the EMU food court area. While you are there you should probably sign his petition too.

SSDP meets Tuesdays at 7pm in the Survival Center (in the EMU next to the Craft Center).
